Quality healthcare everywhere through telecommunications!

Membership in TAO is open to anyone interested in supporting the purpose and goals of the organization. If you are a telehealth service provider, an organization interested in providing telehealth services, a supplier of equipment, software or transport for telehealth service, a healthcare insurance provider or someone interested in improving healthcare through telecommunications, we hope you will consider joining us.

Membership Enrollment---There are five categories of TAO Membership as described below:

Founding Member (One-time Fee of $2500)

This category of membership shall refer to public or private entities that participate in the initial formation of TAO through their early contribution of a Founding Member Fee (2004 - 2006). All subsequent promotional information and materials broadly distributed by the TAO shall acknowledge the organization’s Founding Members. Representatives from the Founding Member group shall be encouraged to participate in leadership roles in the organization as appropriate. This category of membership shall entitle Founding Members to provide input and have a significant voice the initial Action Planning of the organization, but does not provide for a vote in the business of TAO. Voting membership in the TAO requires the annual payment of membership fees in one of the four categories below.

Sustaining Member (Annual Fee of $500)

This category of membership shall refer to public or private entities that have a significant commitment to Telehealth as a vehicle to increase access to quality care. Sustaining Membership shall entitle the organization or entity to an unlimited number of persons participating at TAO meetings and in discussions of critical issues. Representatives from the Sustaining Member group shall be encouraged to participate in leadership roles in the organization as appropriate. Sustaining Membership shall entitle the member entity to 1 vote in the business of TAO.

Organizational Member (Annual Fee of $300)

This category of membership shall refer to public or private organizations that have an interest in Telehealth. Organizational Membership shall entitle the organization to have an unlimited number of persons participating in TAO meetings and in discussions of critical issues. Organizational Membership entitles the member entity to 1 vote in the business of TAO.

Individual Member (Annual Fee of $100)

This category of membership shall refer to any individual who does not represent any organizational or business entity, but rather, represents only his/her personal interests and opinions. Each individual member shall be entitled to 1 vote in the business of TAO (students are a unique classification within the Individual Member category and are eligible for a reduced annual membership fee of $25).

Associate Member (Annual Fee of $1000)

This category of membership shall refer to a person or entity that represents any telecommunications or other related special interest entity. Members in this category are encouraged to join all TAO meetings and activities and participate in discussions of critical issues. This category shall have 1 vote in the business of the TAO.
